digital nothing design is myself, Steve Valaitis. There is no corporation, this is not a Dot.Bomb. Any instances of "we" that you see throughout the site refer to You and I. This is not me creating your site how I see fit. This is me working with you to give you the site that you truly want and deserve.

Why did I decide to go and be and independent contractor?

The first reason is that I was in a mostly dead end job. Not being used to even a fraction of my potential, I was quickly getting frustrated. There is nothing worse than working at a job you do not like. This was the one reason that "pushed me over the edge" so to speak. But the real reason is below.

Absurdity and swindling. The real factors for wanting to becoming independent. For a year or two, I would look at web sites everywhere on the web. High profile, low profile. Mom & Pop, small business. Any and all. Then I started looking at web developer's web sites. I nearly had a heart attack! The prices that these people wanted for such poor work was unbelievable. The poor colors, horrendous graphics, mundane cookie cutter layouts, and the realization that anyone out there with an HTML editor could be a web designer was more than I could bare! Just because you have a tool, does not mean that you can use it effectively.

Why the name digital nothing design? This is a question that many have asked. The reason. The Nothing as many may remember is the force in The Neverending Story that obliterates all of Fantasia. All that is left is a grain of sand, from which the land can be created anew. With digital nothing design, I aim to destroy! Then You and I together will rebuild an effective website that will help put you above the competition.

So where did I get all of my skills from? The hard way, I learned them, I taught myself through books. Any and all coding I do, I do without the aid of an HTML editor. I know the ins and outs of my code, and the languages I use. I do not have to spend time wondering if my editor can do it, because my brain knows what can and can not be done. Any day that I do not learn at least five new techniques feels like a wasted day. Challenge me, tell me what you want. Just about anything you can think of having done on your website, can be done.
